Tie on your bib and sign up your designated driver, the Taste of Atlanta opens next Saturday, October 23, 2010. Taste of Atlanta is a dynamic, flavor-filled two-day outdoor food and wine festival that showcases the diversity of Atlanta's food scene and attracts food lovers from Atlanta, the Southeast and beyond.
Now in its 9th year, this family-friendly festival is again at Tech Square in the heart of Midtown Atlanta encompassing Spring Street and 5th Street. Guests will enjoy:
- National and Local Celebrity Chefs on the Main Cooking Stage. (See Top Chef's Kevin Gillespie on Saturday at 2:45!)
- Good eats from more than 70 of Atlanta’s favorite restaurants
- Farm to Festival Village showcasing the local sustainable movement with live cooking demonstrations and a farmers market filled with locally grown products
- Family Food Zone presented by Amica Insurance with interactive cooking demonstrations and hands on activities.In addition to great tastes from some of Atlanta's family-friendly restaurants, the Family Food Zone offers fun, free and food-focused crafts, including decorating egg carton caterpillars, making macaroni jewelry and creating their own chef hat at the Amica Insurance tent and decorating sugar cookies with Dixie Crystals frosting
- Music and entertainment from local and regional artists
- Wine + Beer + Cocktail Experience featuring a tasting tents and educational seminars (Admission open to VIP ticket holders only; must be age 21 or older)
Cost: $25 in advance (until 10/22/10), admission includes 15 taste coupons. $35 at the event. Kids 13 and under receive FREE admission when accompanied by a paid adult. Taste coupons are required for food purchase. Menu items are valued at 1, 2 or 3 taste coupons.

Where: The festival is at Tech Square in Midtown Atlanta. The event site encompasses 5th Street from Techwood to West Peachtree Street and Spring Street from Biltmore Place to Armstead Avenue.
