Real Art Ways' new series Taste celebrates the more delicious manifestations of contemporary art by offering guests an episode of the French series "Inventing Cuisine", a taste prepared and presented by a top area chef, and the opportunity to chat with the chef about his craft and inspiration. Hartford native Rand Richards Cooper, contributing writer for the New York Times and Bon Appetit (among other things) will guide the audience through this interactive culinary and artistic experience.

Tickets are on sale now, and can only be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door. Individual event tickets are $25, or $22 for Real Art Ways members. You can purchase a special package of tickets for all three of the events for $70, or $60 for Real Art Ways members.

Doors open at 6 PM, events begin at 6:30 PM. Here's the schedule:

May 19: Chef Sean Farrell of Firebox and sous chefs John Sinclair and Ed Jones - Inventing Cuisine episode: Pierre Gagnaire.

June 16: Millwrights Executive Chef Tyler Anderson and Chef de Cuisine Jesse Powers - Inventing Cuisine episode: Alain Passard.

July 21: Jeffrey Lizotte, Executive Chef on ON20 - Inventing Cuisine episode: Michel Bras.
