A few weeks ago, Tarina Tarantino breezed into Sephora on South Beach to introduce South Florida to her new Tarina Tarantino Beauty Collection. Fans gathered, both to catch a glimpse of the pink haired beauty, as well as try the products.
Some were a bit leery, not sure whether a jewelry designer could successfully make the transition from sparkly baubles to cosmetics. The displays beckoned the doubters over, and once tested, they relaxed. The Collection does not disappoint. This Examiner highly recommends the Gem Gloss for lips and the Sparklicity Shimmer Dust.
We also got to spend a few minutes with Tarina and her husband, Alfonso Campos. Here's what she had to say:
I love Florida. The Florida girls "get it." Why? Obviously, there's a very colorful culture here. And the women of South Florida LOVE to accessorize.
I was a makeup artist and had to stop doing makeup when my jewelry took off. But makeup was my first love. So when Sephora offered to carry my new line exclusively, a partnership was born.
When asked what would be coming up next for Tarina Tarantino, she intimated that she was looking to open a store here in South Florida, but that she was also interested in lines of home accessories, sunglasses, and shoes. She even hinted that there may be a television show on the horizon.
While Sephora carries Tarina Tarantino Beauty products exclusively, her jewelry can be purchased locally at the Fontainebleau Resort, Miss Katie's Charm School, LuLu, Nordstrom-Dadeland Mall, and Snappy Turtle.
