Target offers 10 percent discount to all shoppers after security issues

Recently, Target has had to issue lots of warnings and statements regarding a breach of security that affected as many as 40 million customers. On Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, Target's CEO, and the company as a whole, decided to try and make it up to Christmas shoppers by offering a short-time discount due to the problems that have happened lately.

Due to the credit and debit card information of millions of customers falling into the wrong hands after a breach of Target's security; shoppers will get an extra 10 percent discount.

The Target 10 percent discount will only be available this weekend for the days of Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, and Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013.

Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel has said that the security breach issue has not only been identified, but it has also been eliminated. He assures customers that they will not be held financially responsible for fraudulent charges to their credit or debit cards.

The security breach at Target was said to have happened for in-store purchases between the dates of Nov. 27 through Dec. 15, 2013.

REDcards have also been monitored by Target for any type of security breach.
