UFC Fight Night took place in Singapore on January 4, 2013. In the main event, former Strikeforce Champion Tarec Saffiedine fought fellow welterweight Hyun Gyu Lim.

In the first first round, Lim, who has made a reputation for himself as a knockout artist by knocking out his two previous UFC opponents, countered Saffiedine's leg kicks with his right hand and made Saffiedine fall down a couple times with the right hand.

In the second, third, and fourth rounds, however, Saffiedine had greater success with the leg kick. Lim was visibly hurt and limping, and it seemed like the fight was close to being stopped.

Lim somehow found the courage to continue fighting and willed himself to the fifth round. In the fifth round, Saffiedine circled around the ring as Lim stalked him. Lim landed a big punch and staggered Saffiedine. Noticing that his opponent was on wobbly legs, Lim tried to take advantage and pounce on Saffiedine, but Saffiedine was saved by the bell.

Saffiedine won by unanimous decision with scores of 49-46, 48-47, and 48-47.

People in the Inland Empire were able to watch UFC Fight Night 34 by subscribing to UFC Fight Pass on the official UFC website. People can sign up for a free trial until the end of February and have access to many UFC fights.
