Today, The Official Grumpy Cat page on Facebook announced that Tard starred in a YouTube ad for Friskies brand cat food. The video was posted yesterday on the PurinaFriskies channel. As of the morning, the video displayed 326 likes and only 301 views thanks to YouTube's jenky counter. Grumpy cat still didn't care.
Tard appeared in the Friskies sponsored internet series “Will Kitty Play With It?” The series calls itself “the first game show for cats,” and comes complete with a dramatic announcer. In the series, different cats are placed in a room with a box. The box is then lifted, presenting random objects such as scrunchies or goggles and the cat's reaction is filmed.

The show opens with contestant Fidget examining the box, before it is lifted to reveal Tard, who is apparently shocked by the sudden lack of dark, lying in wait beneath. The celebrity edition of the web series utilized Grumpy's perceived attitude in the memes. “BRING BACK THE BOX,” she demands.
