TARC bus stabbing: MeQuale Offutt-Anthony Allen murder case

WLKY is reporting today that funeral services will begin today for a Kentucky teen who was stabbed in the heart while riding a bus in Louisville. According to authorities, Me’Quale Offutt, 14, was stabbed during an altercation while on board the TARC bus on March 16. Me’Quale Offutt later died at a local area hospital. 44-year-old Anthony Allen of Louisville is charged with murdering the teen.

Sunday, March 16: 12: 30 a.m.

Me’Quale Offutt and a female companion are involved in an argument with a 44-year-old man while riding the TARC bus between 28th and Broadway.

Me'Quale Offutt is stabbed three times during the argument with the older man. The 13-year-old girl is also stabbed.

Me’Quale Offutt and the 13-year-old female are transported to the hospital.

Me'Quale Offutt is on life support. His family is by his side.

44-year-old Anthony Allen of Louisville is charged with assault.

Tuesday, March 18

Me’Quale Offutt dies in the hospital after he is disconnected from life support. His parents donate his organs, according to WLKY News.

Wednesday, March 19

Anthony Allen is arrested and charged with the murder of Me'Quale Offutt. He is being held on $100,000 bond.

Friday, March 21

Friends and family hold a vigil for Me'Quale Offutt at the same location where the victim was killed.
