This holiday season, or any celebratory occasion you might have coming up, be sure to pick up a bottle or two of Tarantas Organic Cava Brut. Tarantas is known for having the largest production of quality organic Cava in Spain. Having enjoyed a bottle with friends over Thanksgiving, your examiner can wholeheartedly recommend it!
The August 2010 issue of Wine & Spirits magazine featured the Tarantas Cava Brut, with a rating of 90 points and listed it as "One of the Year's Best Cava's." Here are some tasting notes from Tastings.com:
Tarantas Cava Brut, produced by Spain's oldest Estate Winery, Bodegas Iranzo, is elaborated with the three classical Cava grape varieties (organic Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada) following the "champenoise method" and laid to rest for more than 9 months. The Cava is pale yellow, with small and constant bubbles. It's great for special toasts, celebrations and light meals. Its complex aroma is fruity (apple) with some spice notes. The softness gives a great elegance.
Look for Tarantas at your local wine shop and if you can't find it, be sure to ask them to get it for you! This wine has been imported by the great people at Natural Merchants.
