The upcoming episode of Project Runway airing March 14th, should raise a few eyebrows and create a huge challenge for local designer Patricia Michaels. Patricia, from Taos Pueblo, has been wowing judges with her culturally rooted and nature-themed designs. While she keeps her look contemporary, her textile work and designs are decidedly "different," as expressed recently on the show.
But now for something completely different. Watch the show on TV or with other fans in Taos and try to keep your eyes on the designs... just try. Guest models on Thursday's show will be "Thunder From Down Under," a group of hunky Las Vegas entertainers who wow women (and perhaps gay men) across the US. Their website touts the show, " Dynamic dance routines, barely there costumes, state-of-the-art lighting and chiseled abs have been making women swoon for over 22 years. There is no doubt that the internationally-acclaimed male revue based at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip is the ultimate girls’ night out. Performing up to 11 shows per week, the men of Australia’s Thunder From Down Under make every second count during 90-minutes of pulse-rising pleasure."
Patricia Michaels, Project Runway contestant urges, "Have fun! Keep it light cause this show you'll have to have a sense of humor. That is how I've come to live with this particular episode, so don't stop the support!"
If you want to join other Patricia Michaels fans in Taos for a viewing party, head for The KTAOS Solar Center. The event is free. Doors Open at 4:00 pm.
