J. Cole played host for the evening at TAO Nightclub as he took center stage just before midnight. He welcomed 2013, saying "It's my first New Year's in Vegas and everything they told me was true," then making a wish for the crowd, "May your dreams become reality." After he had the crowd rapping along to every word of his three-song set, J. Cole greeted party goers before retreating to his VIP table.
Brandy hosted the countdown at LAVO Nightclub where the newly engaged singer and actress was joined by fiancé Ryan Press. After walking the carpet, Brandy led revelers in a countdown and then treated them to a few of her songs. Brandy and Ryan were surprised with a cake topped with a ring celebrating their engagement as DJ Five played Brandy's throwback "Sitting on Top of the World."
Benny Benassi closed out 2012 and entered his 2013 residency with an all-new expanded version of his "Metamorphosis" show at Marquee Nightclub. Costumed dancers took to the stage as the new state-of-the-art lasers created a stunning visual accompaniment to his set. Benassi gave way to DJ Chuckie, who flew in after playing a New Year' Eve set in Sydney, Australia.
