Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival is just around the corner and new surprises are ready to delight guests this year. The show will be held at Walt Disney World’s Epcot from March 6, 2013 to May 19, 2013.
In addition to the character topiaries that guests have become accustomed to expect, this year several of the topiaries will also feature lights that will bring them to life after the sun goes down. The new movie, Oz, The Great and Powerful, will set the theme for the children’s area, which will include an Oz play area.
HGTV and DIY television stars will be on stage during weekends of the event. In addition to these celebrities, special entertainers will come to the flower power stage to perform three times a night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during the event. The Village People will be performing April 19 – 21, 2013 as just one of the many featured groups.
A marketplace will be opened with keepsake souvenirs for purchase. It will also feature food from around the world including crab tostadas, pork tacos, the strawberry-infused Rosita margaritas and tequila flights served at the Jardin de Fiestas.
Wichitans traveling to Epcot during Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival will have all of their senses tantalized from delightful topiaries to melodious music to fanciful treats to tickle their taste buds.
