Tank Mode returns

Tag Team MMA’s 3rd event will see the return of Gracie Barra’s Andy “Tank Mode” Enz in a Middleweight Contender Fight against Chase Jenson.

Andy, a class of 2010 Service High grad, quickly rose in the AFC ranks earlier this year with impressive victories against Tommy “The Tornado” Mathews and Rod “Short Notice” Pucak. He beat Mathews at AFC 68 with a keylock submission after dominating the stand-up battle and likewise finished Pucak the following month at AFC 69 with a rear naked choke after staining the cage with Pucak’s blood.

Andy took a little break after his second win. He had a few things he needed to take care of, namely his prom and graduation from high school. Andy says he’s been focused in the gym since his last MMA victory. He says he’s been “Training harder and working specifically on the weakness of my game. That’s what I’ve been doing since Rod Pucak. I have great training partners that push me every day. I try to think I always have a fight coming to push myself that much more. Nothing’s changed, just working on things that will be effective against my opponent.”

Of his opponent Chase Jenson, Andy says, “He likes to be the aggressor and he’s a tough dude. That should be exciting because I’m also aggressive so we’ll see who gives the first inch.”

Concerning his comeback, Andy feels certain of the outcome. “I think I’ll outclass him in all aspects of MMA. I’m comfortable standing and on the ground. I plan on ending it by knockout or submission before the third round is over.”

Tag Team MMA’s owner Jason Hutching spoke about Andy’s limitless potential. “Andy Enz has a belt on his mind and nothing short of it. If he wins this fight, he will get the first shot at the state Middleweight Championship. He just graduated high school and is taking a couple years off to see how far he can make it as a pro fighter. I think the sky is the limit with Andy.”

Hutchings also talked about Andy’s opponent who is also a promising up-and-coming fighter. “Chase Jenson is from Soldotna. He’s 6-2, has great stand-up and is very tough. He has a good chin, good submission defense and is fast on his feet. This will be two great stand-up bangers that want nothing less than a KO. The winner of this fight will be the fans!”
