"Tango With Cupid" benefiting The Alexander Foundation this Friday February 1st

Colorado’s LGBT business community has always been known for its support for charitable giving. Aside from the monetary benefits there is a true sense of the value of “paying it forward.” Creating an endless stream of charitable giving is a challenge, especially during this slow economic recovery. Still, for a number of fortunate organizations in the area, the giving has never stopped. One of those organizations is The Alexander Foundation.

Founded in 1981, The Alexander foundation has a rich tradition of giving; providing emergency, catastrophic, and holiday assistance, as well as educations scholarships for the LGBT community. For more than 30 years, the foundation has provided over $2.75 million dollars to those in need. Through the work of this public, non-profit philanthropic organization, there has been built a stronger LGBT community, and subsequently transformed lived across the state of Colorado

This Friday, February 1st, The 9th Avenue Collection, one of Denver’s premier retailers of antique and custom home furnishings, will be hosting a very special event on behalf of The Alexander Foundation from 5:30pm till 8:00pm. Guests will be able to peruse the 15,000 square foot retail space while enjoying food and drink from local cater Gourmet Fine Catering. Also on the agenda is a special exhibition of the original Argentine dance, The Tango, by world-renowned dancers Nick Jones and Diana Cruz.

The $45 online ticket price is available through today, January 31st, only. Otherwise, the ticket price at the door is $60.00. 100% of the ticket sales will benefit the foundation, and a portion of items sold during the event will be donated as well.
