Tamra Barney wants everyone to know that her changed appearance on this past season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" is not because she went overboard with the Botox and fillers. In her Bravo blog entry posted on Tuesday, September 2, Tamra implored the show's fans to stop making fun of her appearance, which she claims is due to going through a very painful period in her life.

Throughout the season and especially after the reunion show aired, many viewers wrote on various blogs and on social media about how bad Tamra looked. Many thought that she had gone too far in her pursuit to look young, resulting in a face that looked worse than before. Specifically, her cheeks looked too full, which in turn made her eyes look more squinty.

However, according to Tamra, she's not purposefully turning into the cat lady. In her blog, she admitted that she looked particularly bad at the reunion. As for why, it's because she was "physically exhausted and emotionally drained." She said that her face and eyes were swollen all season long from crying every night. "So before you want to make fun or say I have had tons of work done (which I have not) consider my pain," she wrote. Obviously, she reads what "The Real Housewives of Orange County" viewers write about her on the Internet!

As for the cause of Tamra's pain, Tamra didn't specify. She only said that it's something that she hasn't talked about publicly. Since Tamra is currently going through a nasty child custody battle with her ex-husband, Simon Barney, it may have something to do with that. Or it may have something to do with her relationships with her teenage children.

During her appearance on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live," a fan asked Tamra Barney what she did to her face. After playing coy for a bit, she admitted to using fillers. Perhaps she should stop using them and just go natural?
