If “The Real Housewives of Orange County” fans knew this season of the reality show would be so explosive off camera, they might not have decided to watch the series and just tuned into HLN. With Tamra Barney involved in a major custody battle with her ex-husband there has been a media frenzy with so many reports and fans gossiping on social media. According to Radar Online on Friday, the worse portrayal of the reality star was on air by Nancy Grace.

The HLN host who usually weighs in on high profile cases was quick to read some off the allegations on her show. Highlighting some of the more extreme parts, Grace kept asking questions about the star as she divulged details from the court documents.

There was no response from Tamra Barney on the show, but the reality star has finally weighed in about the allegations and the attack she is facing from the media and individuals about her parenting.

“If being a monster is taking my kids to every dr apt, paying for braces & clothes, vacations & therapy by myself,” tweeted Tamra Barney from her official Twitter account on Friday.

The news media hasn't done Tamra Barney any favors by sharing the court documents and details with the public during the custody issues the reality star is facing. While every situation is different, there are a lot of people weighing in with little to no knowledge except what is seen in the headlines.

This has also taken away from the actual Bravo show. People are becoming so interested in the case, they are losing interest in the show. With Nancy Grace picking up the story, there is no telling how far it will travel as the host loves to do sound bites on stories as she keeps tabs on situations. It is a powerful way to feed stories and keep the interest alive with the viewers.

Will this issue settle down so fans can focus on the actual “The Real Housewives of Orange County” show? Or should everyone expect to hear more about Tamra off screen until this custody battle is resolved?
