Tampa wins Winter Wonderland

See also

While it's no surprise to anyone, Tampa does usually experience a warm Christmas season. But, so far this December, Florida as a whole has become the envy of the nation. The Sunshine State is one of the only states to not experience freezing temperatures and blizzard like conditions. While we quickly became known as "The Most Hated" state in the country Floridians continued to decorate their palm trees with holiday lights and decide which flip flops and sunglasses should be worn today.

But, it's still Christmas time and who doesn't like the thought of a white Christmas? Tampa competed in a Twitter Competition against ten cities to win the McCafe Winter Wonderland sponsored by McDonalds. Tampa was crowned the winner and will now get the opportunity to have snow in downtown.

This Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 1pm until 7pm, Tampa's Riverwalk will be transformed into a holiday wonderland even including SNOW! There will also be FREE samples of McDonald's new White Hot Chocolate at the McCafe Truck. The event will also feature many giveaways and of course Christmas music!

The Winter Wonderland will take place at the Tampa Riverwalk near the Sail Pavilion Bar near the Tampa Convention section of the walk at 333 South Franklin Street.

So, come on out and experience Tampa's version of a "White Christmas".
