Oldsmar Freedom Fest: Memorial Day festival with live music by area bands, food and craft vendors, children's activities, a bike show paying tribute to American heroes and a Memorial Day ceremony. They call it Memorial Day for a reason. It’s a time we set aside to remember those who have sacrificed so much through the years for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans today. The history traces back over 150 years to small towns and villages in both the north and south where those sacrifices were very personal to those communities. And so it continues today. For the six consecutive year the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce is doing its part by hosting Freedom Fest right on State Street in Oldsmar. The three day event, May 23, 24 and 25 will feature live music from start to finish, plenty of food and arts and craft vendors and fun activities for the kids. Hours will be 5 to 10 pm on Friday May 23, 12 to 10 pm on Saturday May 24 and concluding Sunday May 25 between the hours of 12 and 8pm The big tent will be back to supplement the shade of the beautiful oaks and provide more seating to enjoy the great music. Price is FREE. More info here.
