The Tampa Bay Buccaneers new uniforms have been revealed, now the big question is will Bucs fans give them two thumbs up or down? According to Buccaneers.com on March 3, the uniform "honors the Buccaneers' rich tradition while boldly bringing the team into the future through a modern industrial design aesthetic."
Buccaneers co-chairman Edward Glazer seems very excited with the change, and believes fans will be as well.
"Today marks the culmination of more than two years of research and planning to bring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into a new and exciting era of our history," said Buccaneers co-chairman Edward Glazer. "We worked closely with our partners at Nike to design a uniform that would set the standard for both design and functionality. The result is a sleek, modern design that honors our championship past while also establishing a new, bolder identity moving forward."
The uniforms seem to have a college look to them with Oregon-ish numbers with a college-Arena football league style to them. Personally, the dark red uniforms and white roadies looked better, but sometimes change just for change sake can be the wrong move.
Either way, time will tell.
The new NFL Nike Elite 51 uniforms will be on full display in the upcoming 2014 NFL season, but will they last? Most likely they will. Let's not forget why changes are usually made in the first place, to make money.
If the Bucs start off hot next year the new jerseys could become a top seller.
What do you think NFL fans? Do you like the move or are you partial to the old Tampa Bay look?
