Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building soaring at 2,716 feet and located in Dubai, started 2013 with a massive sound and light show that could be seen from just about any corner of the city.
The fireworks show, which will likely go down in history as one of the most impressive shows on New Year's Eve, soared into the clouds and was so large and magnificent that it lit up an entire section of the city. The eye-popping performance was accompanied by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Reports said that close to a million people on the street watched in what organizers called "arguably one of the best displays on the planet."
