Talking to Nancy Stafford of Matlock Fame

Yesterday I had a delightful treat. After over two years of trying to shoehorn an audio interview into Nancy' Stafford's schedule, we finally had our on-air get-together on my show Wielding the Sword of the Spirit. Nancy Stafford, an actress perhaps best known for her role as Michelle Thomas in Matlock, talked about her acting gigs since the last time I interviewed her in 2009. Nancy has appeared in several Christian films including The Wager, Christmas With a Capital C, Christmas Oranges, Foreclosed, and A Season of Miracles.

I certainly wish we had more people like Nancy in Hollywood. She is a breath of fresh air for me after having been exposed to the spoiled brat/rebellious teen behavior of many of the leading names in Hollywood for several years. It is easy to invoke God's name, but living out God's purposes is a whole lot more difficult. Nancy is doing just that in a fishbowl environment where bad is good and good is mocked. She is a genuinely a loving, friendly, and humble servant who seeks to do God's will. If only all of us that follow Christ could stake that claim. Let her life inspire yours, especially if you're a filmmaker. It has mine.
