Taking a Walk into the Valley of Death: Pray for God’s Mercy

Every now and again man will find himself hindered by the dark burdens that will suffocate his attempt to see the Light. There are demonic forces all around us and whether people believe it or decide to remain oblivious to it all will not hide you from its power. There are many people in this world that will tempt you, attack you, and ridicule you for who you are. Regardless of monetary status or whether or not you believe in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the darkness will find you. For all the Christians, even more so, will the darkness come upon you and try to sway you from the path of the righteous.

The world can be a terrifying place when you do not have God. In actuality we all have God regardless of our beliefs, but it is up to us as people to praise and worship Him. There are many individuals in today’s world that do not and will not ever believe. As Christians, we must pray for those unbelievers, because they need it more than anyone. As loyal followers of Jesus, we will be knocked down over and over regardless of how much we pray. Evil does not like us to pray to God. That alone should be the motivation we need to worship Him all the more.

There will be moments when we may doubt our faith. There will be times when our thoughts will fluctuate about and we cannot think clearly. That is evil. The darkness is literally around every bend, beneath every rock and through every dark alley. Do no fear the darkness but rather walk right through it. Know that you have you Lord and Savior, forever by your side. Ask God for the strength to pass through the darkness. Do no allow it to consume you entirely. Allow some clarity for God to help you. For it is only through God that you can overcome evil and its cruelty.

It is the time that we think we do not need God that we will need Him the most! “For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted (Luke 14:11)”. Some may reject such a saying it is they who will be humbled, whether from evil’s dark shadows or from God. Either way you will remember your place.
