Pittsburgh girls know and love fashion! They know what colors look good on them, what designer looks they covet, and where to shop. What is one store could you spend thousands of dollars on clothes in?
My style is so varied and changes quite often! If I had to pick one store to blow a couple grand in, I'd have to say Urban Outfitters. I like the variety and quality that the store offers.
What is your favorite Pittsburgh mall?
Hands down, Ross Park Mall. I have recently moved to Pittsburgh from a small town in Indiana. The shopping here is amazing! I love that I am minutes from luxury brands, but have affordable boutiques as well.
What color do you think you look best in?
Turquoise. It's defiantly not the color I own the most of, but certainly the color I get the most compliments in. I love accessorizing with this color as well!
What is one piece in your wardrobe you could never live without?
My loose fitting, light weight denim jacket. For it's practical use of keeping me warm when the AC is pumped too high in the salon to it's versatile ability to change a work outfit from dressy to happy hour casual.
What is your favorite cut of jeans?
I've never been a jean girl. Until recently I've never been much of a "pants" girl either. I have always been more comfortable in a dress or long skirt. When I do wear jeans, they are usually light weight, a bright color or patterned. As for the cut... I am a big fan of high waisted skinny jeans.
What is your ideal winter coat?
I'd have to say a genuine vintage leather jacket. Lots of zippers and such. I can grunge it up with cut up jeans, or class it up with a dress and heals
What is your favorite kind of dress?
I am a fan of all dresses. I don't discriminate in this area. From a nice fitting short cocktail to a long loose and layered maxi. In recent days I have been drawn to a more light weight fabric, romantic floral pattern and long length.
What is your favorite type of footwear?
I am a boot girl. If it is mounds of Chicago snow or humid Pittsburgh heat, I'll be in boots. A good cropped anklet is hard to find, but I always have the best luck with Urban Outfitters for my "worn" looking boots. I wear anything from an obnoxiously patterned cowboy boot to a classic suede ankle boot. If I have one fashion obsession... It's boots!
Money is no object, who is your favorite luxury fashion brand?
Seeing as I am new to Pittsburgh and re building my clientele, I'd say anything above Forever 21 is luxury these days! My eye is always drawn to Free People and most recently my obsession has been with Haute Hippie. One day I WILL click "check out" on the online shopping bag!
5 adjectives to describe your style and wardrobe?
Bohemian. Earthy. Retro. Elaborate. Vintage. I have spent many years submerged in Rockabilly culture. Bettie Paige and Ditta Von Tease have formed so much of my "go to" fashion statements. I have however fallen in love with the romantic and bohemian trends that have taken over current fashion. I'd like to say I blend the two well and love the clash. I accessorize more than your average bohemian, but wear less red lipstick than the modern Pin Up.
