Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi seem to be experiencing paranormal activity in their new mansion. According to a friend of DeGeneres, she says her pal thinks that the home is haunted by the original owner's wife.

DeGeneres' new home is known as the Brody House which is located in Los Angeles' Holmby Hills area. The talk show host shelled out $40 million for the mansion.

The house was built by real estate developer Sidney Body and his wife Frances in 1951. Brody passed away in 1981 and his wife later died in the house in 2009.

“The house had been remodeled, so Ellen thought it would have no trace of the former owner. But she was wrong. Within a few nights of moving in, Ellen started hearing random noises, including footsteps and doors opening and closing,” a friend of DeGeneres said in an interview.

DeGeneres has heard the ghost of the woman crying at night and according to her friend, she is freaked out and hasn't been sleeping well. She plans to get the house cleansed to get rid of the negative spirits.
