What an awesome spiritual experience at the recording of JJ Hairston& Youthful Praise! JJ Hairston is one of Connecticut's own coming out of the city of Bridgeport who has long time taken over as lead choir director for Youthful Praise, and has made his mark in the gospel entertainment world not only in Bridgeport, but around the world.
Not only have I had to pleasure to befriend him since I was on channel 12's Our Lives taping of the 2010 McDonald's Gospelfest promo performing on the same show where he sang "The Blood" with just the praise team from the group. He was a true pleasure to meet. Since then, in November of 2010, JJ has been a guest on my radio show, "Talk 2 Me!" And will soon be coming on again in the near future, God willing. More recently, I've seen him at this year's Holla Back Gospel Awards in New Haven, CT where he and his gospel choir ministered in songs, and was awarded by producer, Jerry Green.
In conclusion, having participated in viewing his recording for the newest cd project he has was most rewarding, and the long drive to Bloomfield, CT at his home church was worth it on that freezing cold night, November 4th, this year. I postponed my radio interview to have the award winning group, "Blessings," on just to be apart of this wonderful experience. Those who graced the stage along with JJ & Youthful Praise were Karen Clarke-Sheard, Donnie McCurklin, Vashawn Mitchell, Kiki Sheard, and more, just to name a few. It was purely uplifting, inspiring, and anointed. Once Karen and Kiki sang I passed out in the spirit in my seat for a while, so pics are very few, but I thank God for being touched and moved once again by His musical geniuses and gifted men and women of Christ Jesus. What a blessings.
I recently, honored him at my annual banquet, "Promises 5: Shine!" Fundraiser & Awards banquet, last night where I wanted to show him some love, and let him know that Diamonds in the Rough...and I thank him and appreciate what he's done and is doing the gospel music entertainment world-winning souls through his music.
P.S. JJ when are you coming on my radio show?
