Alison Garrigan (Executive Artistic Director of Talespinner Children’s Theatre) has announced the opening of “Adventures in Slumberland”. The show will open on November 30th and run through December 22, 2013. All performances will be at the Reinberger Auditorium located at 5209 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio.
The play is based on characters invented by renowned illustrator and comic artist Winsor McCoy. “Adventures in Slumberland” is the story about a boy named Nemo who has very colorful and vivid dreams. It is Christmas Eve in 1905 and Nemo’s sleeping time is full of dreams where he is trying to keep a play-date with his good friend, the Princess of Slumberland. On the way there he is asked to help Santa and as a result try to make the world a better place for all.
The play is written by David Hansen, directed by Alison Garrigan with movement by Wendy Kriss, costume design by Melanie Boeman, lighting design by Dave Brooks, scenic and Puppet design by Alison Garrigan. The Stage Manager is Brittany Gaul with Sarah Moore and Tania Benitesa as Production Managers. Appearing in the play will be Valerie Kilmer, Annie Perusek, Lauren B. Smith, Christopher Walker, Tim Pringpuangkeo and Bryan Ritchey
Performances will be presented from November 30ththrough December 22nd, 2013
Show times are Fridays at 1:00pm and 7:00pm; Saturdays at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, Sundays at 2:00pm
Tickets: $10 for children age 12 and under, $12 for Seniors and Students with a College ID, $15 for adults. Group and Educational rates are also available. TCT will present two Pay What You Can performances on Sunday, December 2nd at 2:00pm and Friday, December 6th at 7:00pm. Patrons may pay any amount at the door at these performances.
