There are numerous creative ideas to avoiding separation anxiety. Playing some soothing sounds on the radio or computer when you leave your pup alone is often helpful in decreasing their loneliness. You could leave a local NPR station on but might be disturbing if the pups actually understood the news.Commercial radio, well, might teach your wee one to learn how to use the credit card!

Enter Tell Me A Story, a 3 CD collection of reworked folk tales from around the world as read by a stable of really talented performers. Sure they're great for the kids in your life (read the reviews!), but who knew they'd be so great for dogs?

Sure the author of these reworked tales happens to be my Cleveland, Ohio born and bred sister and a perk of that is to see my own kids' names included in her tales but I gotta be honest. Playing selections out loud in a roomful of restless dogs helped both calm them down and entertain. I'd say the dogs especially loved CD2: Animal Magic. Get yourself a CD -- better yet the whole set and see for yourself.
