When the recession started in or around October of 2007 and mass layoffs came about; people started to wonder what they were going to do next. The news on the television, career coaches and leaders on the internet promoted things such as; "follow your heart’s desire," "your passion," and only then can one truly be happy.
These aspects of life were a good thing to promote, and still are, but how about for once the human-race with all their wisdom, knowledge and dignity; might ask questions such as; what can I do with my talents to help mankind? What can I do in order to make this world a better place; even if this means I might not be as happy as I think I will? Sometimes when people go out of their way to make others happy, and taking the "I," out of the personal conversation only then can some people find the meaning of life’s treasures.
Take for example, a person might be over-qualified to teach, however they might say to themselves; "I do not want to teach," or, "I do not want to be around children all day," however one must remember, a great leader leads with the soul intention that the people or children they lead will become bigger than themselves.
If one takes a risk in life and positions themselves aside for just a few moments one might be very surprised at what he/she catches, and if one does not know how to help; go visit a farm or somewhere in nature; as sometimes these are the places that inspire us the most.
