Taking back the streets, three robbers shot dead

In three separate incidents that have been reported today, Jan. 15, 2013, citizens who own and know how to use firearms have taken back what is theirs.

In Hollywood, Florida, The Miami Herald reports that a store clerk thwarted a robbery when the clerk shot and killed the suspect. There was a second suspect that fled and was caught later. The Miami Herald reports that the attempted robbery took place on State Road 7 near the Hard Rock casino on Southwest 52nd Street.

In the second incident in Florida, the Northeast Miami-Dade police, are investigating an attempted robbery this morning in which a suspect was reportedly shot by a resident.

The third incident happened in San Antonio, Texas. There, KENS5.com reports that the police are investigating the attempted theft of an SUV from outside of a home in an affluent neighborhood. One of the thieves is dead and the other is in the hospital.

The person defending his property in this case was visiting a residence there and heard someone breaking into his Toyota 4Runner around 1:30 a.m. this morning. The 25 year old male stepped outside and confronted the two men as they were going through his vehicle when he opened fire.

KENS5.com reports that police officers said the shooter is not expected to face any charges since he was protecting his property.
