Taking Back Sunday is taking it way back to 1999. The band that won many hearts with the Tell All Your Friends album kept us coming back for more with subsequent albums featuring new line-ups that sufficed, but somehow never seemed to live up to the songs we told all of our friends about.

Fans of the 2002 album, featuring the popular songs “Ghost Man on Third” and “Cute Without the ‘E’ (Cut From the Team),” will be pleased to hear the original crew has reunited to record the band’s sixth full-length album, Happiness Is.

Front man Adam Lazzara, back-up vocalist and guitarist John Nolan, guitarist Eddie Reyes, bassist Shaun Cooper and drummer Mark O’Connell will be touring the U.S. with The Used this spring. The tour stops in Jacksonville on April 25, 2014 at Freebird Live, however The Used will not be performing at this show.

Taking Back Sunday will headline, with Tonight Alive and former Underoath frontman, Spencer Chamberlain’s latest project, Sleepwave as openers at Freebird Live. Tickets to the show are $25 in advance. For those who have not been followers of Taking Back Sunday from the beginning, the band is sure to put on an energetic show with a mixture of hardcore, guitar driven music balanced by raspy, yet harmonic vocals. The 15-year-old band acts it's age lyrically, with angsty, heartfelt lyrics and has a tendency to scream.

Happiness Is will be available on March 18, 2014. The pre-release single for the album, “Flicker, Fade” is reminiscent of the original Taking Back Sunday, while introducing listeners to a cultivated sound developed by producers Marc Jacob Hudson and Mike Sapone. Take a look at the bands biography on JaxLive for more information about the new album.
