Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story, which premieres on Lifetime TV on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, is based on the true story of Tiffany Rubin, whose son was kidnapped by his father. Taken From Me stars Taraji P. Henson as Tiffany Rubin. The cast includes Terry O'Quinn, David Haydn-Jones, Beverly Todd, Alvin Saunders and Drew Davis.
Tiffany Rubin (Taraji P. Henson), her husband and her seven year old son Koby (Drew Davis) are a tight knit family living in Queens, New York. A judge orders that Tiffany's ex-boyfriend Jeff, Kobe's father, must have visitation rights. Tiffany agrees to let her ex take Kobe out of state for a week-long visit to Disneyland.
After several days, Tiffany discovers that Jeff and Kobe are not at Disneyland. The police investigate and find that Jeff and Kobe flew to Seoul, South Korea, a country that is not part of the international treaty recognizing parental rights.
Tiffany decides to take matters into her own hands, with the urging of her mother Belzora (Beverly Todd), and go to South Korea to retrieve her son. She is helped in what turns out to be a harrowing rescue by Mark Miller (Terry O'Quinn), who is part of the American Association for Lost Children.
