Remember being a kid playing arcade games and one of the prizes that you always managed to win was one of those holographic cartoon cards?
While you may have been very disappointed with that prize then, maybe you'll appreciate it a little more now.
Maybe so much that you'll stock up on some of it in your closet. After all, designers from Blumarine to Stella McCartney are giving it the A-OK on the runways.
This metallic invasion is seen everywhere from clutches to dresses to earrings, oh my! And, not new by any means, you can always add some 3-dimensionals to your nails a la Chanel polish.
The upside of this out-there trend is that wearing something holographic will match with virtually any color of the rainbow outfit you may have!
Not so sure about rocking this trend? Check out my slideshow for some ideas how to ease into the metallic mix. Try combining it with neutrals to tone down the holograms, especially to avoid that Joan Jetson look.
