So its winter and you just can’t get away for an expensive family vacation? If you ask around and do a little research, you just may find some hidden treasures to visit, right here in Missouri. A must visit, is located in the small town of Richland, Missouri, where you will find the most unusual restaurant. This restaurant in located inside of a cave and is called The Cave Restaurant.
A trip to visit this fine restaurant, will guarantee a great time for the entire family. Once you have set your GPS or have your map laid out, your family will enjoy Missouri’s beautiful landscape, as you make your way to the restaurant. As you pull into the parking lot, you may wonder where the restaurant is and how you will find it. This is where your experience really starts. An employee will be there to greet you and take you to the cave entrance or you are welcome to walk (which is recommended, if the weather permits). Once you get to the cave entrance, you can either take the stairs or ride the elevator up to the front door (that’s right…..up). The front door takes you into an actual cave, with uneven floors, rock walls and water features. The experience alone would be enough, but a bonus is the great food, wonderful service, and fair prices.
During the summer months, a family may want to rent one of the cabins (not the Ritz), fish in the stocked pond and possibly even include a float trip on the Gasconade River (which flows by the restaurant). Family vacations and get-aways are all about spending time together and making memories. The Cave Restaurant is much more than just another place to eat. This is a great family get-away that will leave you full of great food, as well as memories to last a lifetime.
