Take-Two Interactive executives mentioned that the publisher has more than 10 next gen titles in development, executives said during an investor call today, that are scheduled for release sometime during the company's next fiscal year.
Take-Two president Karl Slatoff revealed one title, "Last January we purchased the IP for 'Evolve' from THQ, this next generation title is currently in development at Turtle Rock Studios, the renowned creators of the innovative, cooperative first person shooter Left 4 Dead."
Slatoff also mentioned their recently opened new studio in the San Fransisco Bay Area, which is working on "an exciting next generation title."
The as-yet unnamed studio is being headed up by former Epic and Irrational VP, Rod Fergusson. Fergusson left his post at Irrational shortly after completion of Bioshock Infinite, and has remained mum on his current project.
"These represent just 2 of our more than 10 next generation titles in our pipleline," continued Slatoff "which includes multiple releases for fiscal 2015."
It's safe to assume that 2K will release their annual sporting titles such as "NBA2K" and "WWE", but this still only accounts for 4 of the "more than 10". Although the publisher did mention that no plans had been discussed to move Grand Theft Auto to next gen consoles.
Take-Two already has one of the more robust lineups of publishers currently available, and news of their belief and current work towards a full calendar of titles should put gamers at ease that they will have support for their new consoles down the road.
The fiscal year 2015 for Take-Two runs from April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2015.
