We ended out the week on a sunny note today! While it was a little cool, the weather was fairly nice for the middle of fall. Highs reached the middle 60s but the temperature will drop quickly once again this evening. Expect a temperature of 57 degrees at 8 p.m. and 49 by midnight.
Lows will drop into the lower and middle 40s by Saturday morning. Clouds will increase late tonight as well ahead of an approaching storm system. This area of low pressure will move through Ohio on Saturday and bring a good chance for rain. Expect rain to begin during the middle of the morning on Saturday and last through the middle of the afternoon.
Have plans to head down to the Buckeyes game or tail gate outside? You will want to bring your rain gear for sure! The good news is that the area of showers should push on to the east by 4 or 5 p.m. This still means that some lingering rain will be possible for at least the first half of the game. Even if it ends a little earlier, everything outside will definitely be wet. Take a heavier jacket as well because temperatures will struggle to make it much over the 50 degree mark.
Winds will shift to the west and northwest Saturday evening with gusts around 15 mph making it feel quite chilly. Lows will head down into the lower 40s by Sunday morning. Better weather is in the offing for Sunday with sunshine and highs nearing 60 degrees.
A warm southerly wind flow will develop ahead of a strong cold front on Monday. This will boost the temperature back up temporarily into the upper 60s and maybe even near 70 degrees! The front will trigger a line of showers on Monday evening which will unlock the door to the coldest air of the season so far.
Highs will plummet down into the upper 40s and lower 50s for the rest of next week! Frost and even a few wet snowflakes mixed in with rain showers will be possible throughout much of the week. Stay with Examiner.com for the latest forecast updates. Have a great weekend!
