Thousands upon thousands of individuals faced the frigid temperatures in Washington D.C. January 22 to March for Life in protest of the legalized abortion act of 1973 Roe vs. Wade by the United States Supreme Court.

Each year for the 41 years the March for Life has grown more and more with reaching more than a quarter of a million people in the march. According to ProLife statistics, there have been nearly 55 million children aborted since the legalized bill passed.

An interesting sideline to the controversial Roe vs. Wade decision is that Norma Leah McCorvey, better known as Jane Roe, has since recanted her stand for abortion in February 2005, McCorvey petitioned the Supreme Court to overturn the 1973 decision.
