Local businesses and residents are invited to take a Snowman Challenge hosted by the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton, West Virginia. This challenge opens from February 10th to March 7th, 2010. The 2 Grand Prize winners will be chosen on: March 8, 2010; by staff and volunteers.
The objective is to build a snowman. The snowman must be built in the 2009/2010 snow year. Thank goodness for the winter weather we have experienced, there is no shortage of it.
You will need to take 2 photos for submission; one picture will display your creation and one picture with the creator(s) and snowman. It is requested that you submit the city of the snowman's location, creator (s) name and age(s), contact phone number, and the date of creation to the Chuck Mathena Center. You may email or mail entries to: Chuck Mathena Center, 2 Stafford Commons, Princeton, WV 24701.
The Chuck Mathena Center will judge entries for two grand prizes to be given away. The winners will be selected from two categories, The Best Business Snowman and The Best Backyard Snowman.
Grand prize winners will receive 4 Premium Tickets to the National Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 3 pm.
You may call: (304) 425-5128, for additional information.
Let's go Mercer County and put your creative hats, gloves and coats on. Let the Snowman Challenge begin!
