"Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits". Thomas Jefferson
"Don't wait around for other people to be happy for you. Any happiness you get you've got to make yourself." Alice Walker
My thought for the day is 'avoiding the happiness sucking trolls.' It would do no good at all to post any pictures, as the happiness sucking trolls are masters of disguise. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and can be found all over the world. Be aware of your feelings. Be aware of who you are around. If you find you start feeling down, unhappy, losing your energy (physically and mentally), take note of who is around you. Do you always start feeling down when around this other being? If so, it is a good chance you have a happiness sucking troll in your midst.
Life is hard enough at times. Yes, for some people just making it through the work day is tough. It's like trying to walk across the kitchen floor, but some of the boards are missing. It's a balancing act. The fact is, you can't control what other peoples actions are going to be; however, you can control your reaction. You are ultimately in charge of your own happiness. Make the best decisions for you. Don't let too many hands on the steering wheel, so to speak.
Just stay away from the negative people, and situations, if possible. Sometimes we work with the unfriendly, miserable things; in which case we can't get away from them as we would like too. Do what you can to make it through. Put a smile on, fake happiness to get you through. "Fake it 'til you make it" is an awesome saying. Be happy you are you, and be happy you are not in their miserable skin. Though they are very, very scary, only you can let them take your happiness...don't let the 'happiness sucking trolls' suck the happiness out of you!
