The Valley Medical Center Foundation presents its 5th annual free Take Flight for Kids on Saturday, October 19 at Reid-Hillview Airport in San Jose. A full day of activities, including displays and activities from more than 200 community organizations, is planned. Other highlights include:
- Static aircraft displays, including historic aircraft, exotic aircraft, warbirds, helicopters, and an old Navy T-38
- Musical entertainment provided by the Bi Polar Bears Band, Pearl Alley Band, and Celtic Harmony Band
- Classic and hotrod car display
- FAA Airport Tower Tour
- Food trucks
- Karaoke contest, with prizes, for high school students in Northern California
- Robot competitions
- NASA exhibit
- Bounce houses
- Exotic animals
- Hands on science fun of all kinds
Get FREE admission by registering ahead of time. Attendees are asked to bring a donation for the Bill Wilson Center. Suggested donations are canned food, diapers, wipes, new socks, and underwear.
Free parking and a free shuttle are available at Eastridge Shopping Center.
