Take back your health seminar at The Dock Bookshop

Dr. Llaila Afrika will be speaking about taking back your health at The Dock Bookshop Friday January 25 as part of their 'New Year, New You' celebration of the new year. Dr. Afrika will also speak at the Pan African Connection in Dallas on Saturday January 26 and in Shreveport on Sunday January 27.

Dr. Llaila O. Afrika is a lecturer and author. He focuses on helping people understand and become aware of natural remedies and treatments. Dr. Afrika is a nutritional consultant; massage therapist, historian, certified addictionologist, acupuncturist, writer and Doctor of Naturopathy. He has studied in countries such as Africa, Europe, and of course, America. Dr. Afrika believes that each of his clients (from children to the elderly) has been among his many teachers, and he is fully indebted to them all.

He is also the author of several books on holistic health like African Holistic Health, Melanin-What Makes Black People Black, and holistic videos like How to Overcome Cancer and How to Free Yourself from Arthritis.

Dr. Afrika lectures on 80 different topics.He contends that good health does not belong exclusively to any culture or race, but is a human right and product of nature.

He believes that good nutrition is important because our food gives us the energy to live. According to The Dock Bookshop, Dr. Llaila Afrika has carefully studied both the short and long term effects of poor nutrition. This exhaustive analysis can be found in his book Nutricide: The nutritional destruction of the Black race. Originally published in 1993 he has revised and updated it in 2000.

Dr. Afrika advises not to eat meat and encourages people to take any intermediate steps necessary to begin cleaning their body, mind, and spirit of pollutants. Dr. Afrika will provide several examples of the things that can be done to get started, but more importantly he gives advice on why we should clean up our act.
