We all know Salem, Massachusetts is famous for its witch hunt history and tours, but now you can participate in an interactive ghost hunt, too. “Paranormal Salem’s Investigation” is not just your average ghost tour. They focus on educating the public on paranormal activity, communication, and debunking. There are tips on safety and instructions on how to use various ghost hunting equipment. Your paranormal guide will lend you various ghost-detecting equipment such as; EMF detectors, infrared thermometers, audio recorders, pendulums and more. You are then led on a hands-on ghost hunt through downtown Salem and some of its most haunted spots.
It is bound to be a spirited late-night adventure! Paranormal Salem has been featured on A&E Bio’s My Ghost Story, and voted “New England’s Favorite Tour” in the 2012 About.com Readers Choice Awards.
This writer’s recent tour began at the Witch Trials Memorial where our investigative leader, Kevin, demonstrated various ghost hunting equipment and how the group would be using them during the course of the evening. It was a great short Ghost Hunting 101 course for potential paranormal investigators heading out on their first investigation.
Next we wandered through the darkened streets towards the old firehouse building in Salem. We climbed the stairs to the upper floors, turned down the lights and held a brief EVP (electronic voice phenomena) session. A laser grid lit the back staircase hoping to catch the shadow person often seen moving along the steps and nearby hallway.
Join “Paranormal Salem Investigation” for a short Ghost Hunting 101 course and an investigation of the old firehouse building on your next visit to Salem. It is the perfect way to spend a spooky evening! They will supply the equipment, but feel free to bring your own ghost hunting tools.
There is a 12 person limit; cost is only $20 per guest so you are able to get a lot of personal hands on training. Get your tickets on line. Tickets will not be sold on site.
