Take a ride with me on new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at the Magic Kingdom

The highlight of the media event I attended at Walt Disney World last week was the chance to ride the brand-new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The ride officially opens on May 28, but members of the media had a chance to experience it last Thursday evening. If you'd like to ride along with me, click the video accompanying this article

Although it might look rough in the video as I whip around the turns, I promise you that it's actually very smooth. It truly is a family-friendly ride, just as Disney has been promising throughout its construction. Yes, the train cars wobble on the track, but not in a scary way. Anyone can ride it, whether you're a little kid gearing up for your first "real" roller coaster or a parent or grandparent who doesn't want to rattle your bones. As you'll see in the video, part of the ride is a dark ride, so you have an enjoyable break from the action as you watch the Seven Dwarfs at work in their mine.

If you'd like to see several different perspectives on the ride, jump to this article to ride in the front, back, and middle of the train for POV views.
