Take a look at Aliens: Colonial Marines' alien hive.

A lot can change in the development of a game when making the transition from concept to digital reality, and one of the signs of a good developer is just how narrow one can make the gap between the two. Sega and Gearbox Software haven't quite managed to perfectly replicate their concept art for Aliens: Colonial Marines in software form, but from what they've just shared of their progress they've still got something appropriately moody and atmospheric on their hands.

Sega's latest teaser video for Colonial Marines showcases production art of an alien hive inside the engineering room of the infamous U.S.S. Sulaco alongside panning shots of the rendered stage within the game. It's very dank, very dark, very ominous... in short, very reminiscent of the movies it draws from and extremely appropriate for some xenomorph hunting action.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is scheduled to release on February 12 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
