Take a journey to Boerne, Texas, for the 14th annual Parade of Artists

Boerne, TX--if you haven't been to Boerne lately, you haven't been to Boerne. And the best way to reacquaint yourself with this lovely Hill Country town is to see it at its best -- showing off its wealth of area artists at the 14th annual Parade of Artists on April 23-25, 2010.

Here's the schedule, courtesy of the Boerne Convention and Visitors Bureau (visitboerne.org) and the Boerne Professional Area Artists Association (boerneart.com).

Friday, April 23, 2010

6-9p

This is a sneak peek at the weekend's big event. Take a self-guided tour of participating art galleries, studios, and "other walls" as you decide which ones you want to return to for a longer look. Sample some of the Boerne's fine food and wine along the way.

Saturday, April 24, 2010

10a-5p

You have all day to take a self-guided tour of the participating art galleries, studios, and "other walls" to view the work of the extraordinary artists and artisans that call Boerne and the surrounding area home. And of course -- more sampling of delectable food and wine to keep you going during your day of gallery hopping.

Sunday, April 25, 2010

11a-5p

It's the last day to take a self-guided tour of the amazing array of art in Boerne. Enjoy brunch at participating art galleries, studios, and "other walls."

If you go:

- Pick up the parade guide at the Boerne Convention and Visitors Bureau, 1407 S. Main, or at other area businesses throughout the Hill Country and San Antonio.

- Participating art locations are marked by bright yellow banners.

- Do it right and make a weekend getaway of it. Two standouts: the beautifully appointed Kendall Inn with its award winning Limestone Grille, and the funky-cool Crescent Quarters (above the outstanding Cypress Grille) both in Boerne's downtown historic district.
