The resort’s location near spectacular recreation areas gives guests an opportunity to safely challenge themselves beyond their comfort levels by participating in an array of hiking activities that are both stimulating and personally satisfying.

The Outdoor Recreation team at Red Mountain Resort, led by Outdoor Recreation director, John Ibach, believes that introducing guests to healthy hiking options in a safe environment results in a happier and healthier lifestyle. “We want guests to leave the resort with an understanding of why we love living in the desert, by hiking at a pace and level of intensity they are comfortable with,” states Ibach. “Guests are able to interact one-on-one with resort guides, and build up their trust through new experiences, such as hiking up a steep hill or descending down rough terrain.”
