Taitz wins victory in Obama SS number case, but is accused of suborning perjury

Orly Taitz, the controversial attorney and dentist who has questioned Barack Obama's citizenship and accused him of using the Social Security number of a man named Harry Bounel, may have just won a minor victory. Taitz has filed Freedom of Information Act requests with the Social Security Administration in her attempt to prove her allegations, but the agency has answered her requests by saying it has “no information” in their records to release.

Several alternative media outlets, including Mr. Conservative, are reporting that a federal judge has issued a preliminary ruling that allows Taitz's lawsuit against the Social Security Administration to go forward.

A press release issued by Taitz reports on the ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander:

Judge Hollander in Maryland gives Attorney Orly Taitz 21 days to file a second amended complaint and add allegations in regards to an improper withholding by the Social Security Administration of records of Harry Bounel, whose Social security number is being illegally used by Barack Obama. When Taitz filed the complaint, SSA did not respond at all. After the law suit was filed, SSA responded by fraudulently claiming that the records were not found. Taitz responded that this is a fraudulent assertion, since the records were found before and denied to another petitioner due to privacy concerns, however Social Security has no right to claim privacy as according to their own 120 year rule they have a duty to release the records. The judge stated that the plaintiff Taitz might be correct, however at this time she cannot rule in her favor as her original complaint was filed before SSA responded, so the judge gave Taitz an opportunity to refile a second amended complaint and add new allegations, stating the SSA responded but has improperly hidden the records . This is a great development. This all but assures that the judge will order the SSA to release the SS-5, Social Security application of resident of CT, Harrison (Harry) Bounel, whose CT SSN 042-68-4425 was stolen by Obama and used in Obama’s 2009 tax returns, which initially were posted on without proper redaction, without flattening of the file.

Taitz has claimed victory in the past, but her victories have been less than impressive. After years of going after Obama, she has achieved little or nothing. In fact, she has probably done more harm than good to legitimate attempts to get to the bottom of Obama's past.

And now it seems as if Taitz may have some legal problems of her own. She has been accused of suborning perjury by another figure who has raised questions about Barack Obama's past, Larry Sinclair.

Many of you will remember Sinclair as the man who came forward during the 2008 presidential campaign claiming to have had a cocaine-fueled sexcapade with Obama in Chicago while Obama was still a member of the Illinios state legislature.

Sinclair filed a sworn affidavit with the U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, California as well as to the U.S. Attorney's Office saying that Taitz asked him to provide false testimony in open court on September 8, 2009 for the purpose of obtaining "expedited discovery" and publicity for his book about his experiences with Obama.

Sinclair has issued a statement about the afidavit on his blog.

So, do any of these developments get us any closer to answering questions about Barack Obama's citizenship or eligibility to serve as president? Probably not. More than likey it is another setback, and more ammunition for those who believe anyone who asks legitimate questions about Barack Obama and his background is either racist or just plain crazy.

Stay tuned. There's sure to be more to follow.
