Tails by Twilight - An Evening in Paris benefit for APF (Photos)

Mark your calendar now for a great event in early May to benefit Animal Protective Foundation of Scotia and its advocacy work for area animals.

Join APF staff and friends, along with Honorary Chairs Sondra Stephens and Anthony Kaczmarek of Sondra's Fine Jewelry, for the 3rd annual gala in support of the APF Community Spay/Neuter Clinic. Tails by Twilight will be a magical evening filled with all the charm and glamour of Paris! The date is Thursday, May 9, 2013, with cocktails at 6:00 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm. The venue is Glen Sanders Mansion, 1 Glen Avenue, Scotia. Cocktail Attire is expected.

Since introduction of the first signature Tails by Twilight in 2011, the APF has been fortunate to have the backing of caring business leaders who strongly believe in APF’s mission to reduce pet overpopulation through aggressive spay/neuter efforts. Jeff and Kara Haraden of Mohawk Honda were the first chairs, followed by Mona Golub of Price Chopper Supermarkets and Marie DeBrocky, owner of Head to Tail Pet Wellness center in 2012. This year Sondra and Anthony join the list, serving as the 2013 honorary chairs.

Sondra says, “As business owners, we feel compelled to give back to the community which has so graciously supported our business and our charities over the past 15 years. It is our honor to be affiliated with a number of organizations that enrich the quality of life for all of us, including our furry friends. We have been involved with “Tails by Twilight since the beginning and we are thrilled and humbled to have been asked to represent the APF as honorary chairs.”

In 2012 nearly 300 people attended the glamorous event, which raised over $130,000 for the construction of the APF Community Spay/Neuter Clinic.

This year’s very special guest will be Animal Lover Extraordinaire Michele Riggi. Mrs. Riggi is an “animal lover extraordinaire” because of her lifelong passion for animals and the fact that she shares her home with 37 petite pups, many rescued from puppy mills and other tragic situations. She has also published a book featuring her beloved canine entourage, entitled “Posh Palazzo Pups.”

Join Michele for a private champagne reception between 6:00 and 7:00 pm. These limited tickets are $175 per person and also include a photo opportunity and sparkling conversation, followed by a spectacular evening of dining, music and auctions. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet Michele and one of her furry friends up close and personal.

Also on hand will be Celebrity Auctioneer LeGrande Serras, CBS 6 News Anchor Liz Bishop as Emcee, and Music by the Sensational Grand Central Station. Click here for an RSVP form and more details. Get tickets now and reserve your spot for this wonderful evening.
