Tail Waggers 1990 kicks off low-cost vaccination clinics

Tail Waggers 1990 of Livonia, MI, a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit organization, is kicking off its annual community, low-cost vaccination clinics beginning Sun., March 10, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Premier Pet Supply in Beverly Hills, MI. The clinic is part of Tail Waggers 1990's efforts to enable pet owners to affordably vaccinate all their animals.

Fifteen clinics are scheduled from March to September in eight different cities located in Wayne, Washtenaw and Livingston Counties. The clinics are open to everyone, regardless of income level and pet owners are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities to get their pets up-to-date on their vaccinations. Tail Waggers 1990 founder, Laura Zain states, "with the challenging times we're all facing today, it's with high hopes that people of all income levels will continue to take advantage of our low-cost vaccination clinics and get their pets properly vaccinated to avoid further health issues. Expanding into Washtenaw and Livingston County shows there's a need and demand to assist pet owners with affordable pet heath care."

Cats and kittens are welcome. Rabies and distemper vaccinations may be purchased for $12 each, and microchips will be available for $30, registration cost included. Dogs and puppies are also welcome.

No appointment is required, but an RSVP would be appreciated so they may better plan for what might be needed. Families and pets will be will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis, and they expect a "minimal wait time." To RSVP, call 734-855-4077, or email vaccinationclinic@yahoo.com.

The people of Tail Waggers 1990 are committed to helping people help their animals with the ultimate goal of supporting dedicated pet owners in need of assistance and provide necessary funding for those animals in emergency situations. Their efforts, in addition to low-cost vaccination clinics include their cat and dog food pantry and financial assistance with veterinary care such as spaying and neutering and annual physicals.
