Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers host 30th annual BBQ Aug. 8

The Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers will be hosting its 30th annual BBQ and fundraiser at Truckee River Regional Park on Saturday, Aug. 9. The event will feature casting clinics, great food and fun as the club raises money for the local fishery programs. Tickets are on sale now for $20 or you can by them at the event for $25.

Noted worldwide fly fisher, Jamie Lyle, will conduct two casting clinics to add to the fun at the event. The first will be at 11:00 am on classic casting. The second clinic will be in the afternoon on spey and switch rod casting (two handed rods). Jamie has fished with all the big names in the sport and always has great stories to go along with his clinics.

The Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers is a non-profit sportsman group dedicated to promoting the sport of fly fishing and protecting the trout rich waters of the North Lake Tahoe area. Founded in 1984, the Tahoe Truckee Fly Fishers is a club for all anglers who care about the places they fish and want to learn more about the art of fly fishing to improve their skills and techniques. From guided fishing events, summer BBQ’s, youth programs and fly fishing equipment rentals to a line up of fabulous guest speakers at each of our monthly meetings, the club has a lot to offer.
