This tahini-free hummus recipe is simple and easy to make. Try eating with falafel, pita bread, or raw vegetables.

Food processor or blender
Container for hummus
Aluminum foil
Oven
Ingredients:
1 can garbanzo/chickpeas with liquid reserved
3 cloves garlic
Juice of ½ lemon
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon ground cumin
½ tablespoon salt
½ tablespoon paprika
½ teaspoon fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Place unpeeled garlic on aluminum foil. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil on top of the garlic, then completely wrap in foil. Roast garlic for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
3. Remove garlic from the oven and allow to cool. When cooled, squeeze the garlic out of the peels.
4. Combine beans, roasted garlic, 1 tablespoon olive oil, cumin, salt, and lemon juice, and paprika in a blender or food processor.
4. Start blending the ingredients on a low setting. Slowly add the reserved bean liquid until the preferred texture is reached. Remove hummus from the blender and into a bowl.
5. Garnish with parsley and 1 tablespoon of olive oil (optional).
