People in Taft, California are in mourning today, as a shooting at Taft High School comes just one month after the Sandy Hook tragedy.
On Thursday, a suspect is in custody for the Taft High School shooting. It’s being reported through multiple outlets that the alleged shooter used a shotgun to target his victims.
The shooting went down at Taft Union High School, to be exact.
Motivation for the alleged killer is not yet known, at this point. What we do know is that at least two victims were targeted and hit.
According to the Huffington Post, one person was hit in the shooting and is said to have actually refused medical care.
A second victim was not as lucky. Shot in the chest inside the school, the victim had to be airlifted to safety and is said to be in critical condition.
This is a developing story, so please stay tuned. This latest violence at Taft High School comes on the heels of news reports that Joe Biden will present President Obama with plans to reform gun policy in America later this month.
